The aim and objectives of the program

The aim of the program is to prepare a teacher with fundamental knowledge, psycho-pedagogical skills and methodological abilities in the field of Russian language and literature study, practical application and teaching, providing

• formation of psycho-pedagogical skills with situational, group and interpersonal guidance models,

• systematic language knowledge and communication skills,

• oriented communication skills in the Russian-speaking environment and in various contexts,

• formation of targeted presentations of general research skills in the linguistic and pedagogic fields,

• up-to-date knowledge and practical skills regarding Russian language teaching methodology,

• targeted combination of national and foreign realities, things and value systems in the fields of language, culture, social life and science,

• purposeful / interested communication with foreign language culture,

• formation of theoretical principles and preliminary teaching experience regarding pedagogical activities.

Career opportunities for graduates

Graduates of the program "Russian language and literature" can get a job in institutions of secondary vocational education as

• teacher of Russian language and Russian literature,

• work in information agencies,

• in publishing houses and editorial offices,

• in international organizations, where knowledge of Armenian and Russian is necessary,

• in public and private enterprises and offices.

Graduates of the program can continue their studies at a master's degree.
