Internship at Ijevan branch of YSU

Internship is an integral part of the educational process, which provides an opportunity to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice, to acquire professional skills, abilities and experience. The type, duration and terms of the internship are defined by the relevant educational program. Depending on the major, students studying in the bachelor's educational program can undergo educational (cognitive, field, excursion, museum, etc.) and professional (production, pedagogical) internships, and students of the master's educational program - only professional internship.

Educational internship

Educational internship is organized for the 1st and 2nd year students, the goal is to strengthen and deepen the theoretical knowledge acquired by the student during studies, contributing to the formation of professional abilities and skills.

Educational internship has cognitive function. Based on the needs of the educational program, by performing various tasks (collection of information, coordination, analysis, performance of creative works), the student acquires recognition aimed at further professional activities.

The educational internship can be conducted both at university and outside it, depending on the features of the studied objects included in the educational program of the profession.

The entire process of educational internship is recorded in the student's diary.

Attention!

A student who does not complete an internship accumulates academic debt, in that case he can complete the internship on a paid basis and get the internship checked before the beginning of the final academic year, in accordance with the procedure for repaying academic debts.

Professional internship

Professional internship is carried out in the fields of professional activity under the supervision and direct support of the responsible person appointed by the YSU Ijevan branch and the institution where the internship takes place. It is organized for undergraduate and graduate students; the aim is to develop students' professional skills, experience and ability to work independently in the professional field through practical work.

Professional internship can be carried out both in the organizations offered by the university (on the basis of the agreements signed between YSU IB and the organizations), and in the organization chosen by the student if it corresponds to the profession and/or the topic of the final work (on the basis of written consent given by the host).

A student who works in his profession can complete professional internship at the workplace by submitting a relevant reference.

Professional internship is organized through the e-learning platform. During each week, the student summarizes the information received at the place of internship and the completed tasks in a report. At the end of the internship, the student presents an opinion and characteristics given by the responsible person of the institution.

Attention!

A student who has not completed professional or pedagogical internship is expelled from Ijevan branch of YSU.

Pedagogical internship

Pedagogical internship is organized for the 3rd and 4th year students according to the principle of sequence and continuity, it is carried out in public schools that have an internship organization agreement with the Ijevan branch of YSU, under the supervision and direct support of the responsible person appointed by the Ijevan branch of YSU and the institution where the internship takes place, the aim is to develop the abilities and skills of students to carry out pedagogical activities.

A student who works in his profession can complete professional internship at the workplace by submitting a relevant reference.

Pedagogical internship is organized through the e-learning platform. During each week, the student summarizes the information received at the place of internship and the completed tasks in a report. At the end of the internship, the student presents an opinion and characteristics given by the responsible person of the institution.

Important!

The supervisor of the internship marks "checked" if the student participated in the internship and completed the tasks.
